Examples of prior commissions above

I welcome commissions from people looking to transform a favorite photograph into a painting, and will endeavor

to capture the essence of each image with a flair of style all my own.

Info on how to get a commission started...

Get high resolution photos (preferred) in which you like the poses and angles, then contact me.

Basically, it goes like this:

1.)  THE PROCESS & TERMS:

#1.  Photos -  I work from your high-resolution reference photo files with good lighting. I need to SEE details and nuances and with small files it's nearly impossible to get a true likeness. I will give you a link for you to upload your full-size photos to. (Emailing compresses the files too much).

About Photos:  I prefer to work from a clear image, preferable digital and in Jpeg format. Please note:  The photograph must be your own, and not one uploaded from the internet (Photographic websites, Google images/Flickr.com etc.)

#2.  Size & background - choose a 11 x 14, 12 x 16, 16 x 20 or other remembering the framing adds overall size. Do I want the background white, softly colored abstract, or a subject in a full scene?

#3.  Preliminary design idea -   I go to work creating the preliminary design and email it to you for your approval.

#4.  Commission Agreement -  After initial design approval, I will send you the Commission Agreement with pricing and my signature. Sign and return the 'Commission Agreement' via email, fax or USPS mail.

#5.   Initial 50% Deposit - With the Commission Agreement, you send a 50% deposit of stated total in the Written Agreement via Check or PayPal, & via email or USPS mail.

#6.   Mid Inspection:  I email you photos of approximately 50% of the Work completed; Then with your approval of the progress the work will continue.

#7.   Upon Completion - Upon completion and approval, you will be invoiced for the remaining 50% balance PLUS shipping, (I will provide the insurance). Final amount INCLUDING SHIPPING to be paid before it is shipped.

2.)  TIMING:

The time frame for completion of work from the time the Commission agreement is in place:  2 - 8 weeks depending on how many commissions are ahead of you. (In exceptional circumstances, shorter time frames are a possibility with advanced notice). If you have a time deadline if this is a gift or for framing, please let me know when you need it in the initial contact.  Every effort will be made to get it finished for you when you need it.

3.)  PRICES

Prices are for Watercolor or Pastel

Prices vary. Particulars affecting price include:
